My Coco-Ma

Coco has been a part of Coco Mia Chihuahuas from the very beginning. Many of the AKC puppies I have placed over the years trace back to her, so when people meet a Coco Mia puppy, there is often a little piece of Coco in them. Coco is not just part of the program. She is one of the reasons the program became what it is.
Coco as a Puppy
As a puppy, Coco was playful, smart, and full of personality. One of her favorite things to do was crouch down low, watch another dog for a few seconds, and then suddenly pounce. Over the years, I have watched many of her puppies do that same thing during play.
She also liked to play on her back. She would roll over and keep playing from the floor, which is something I have also seen in some of her puppies.
Sometimes when I give Coco kisses, she makes the softest little growling sound. It is not an upset growl and it is not quite a purr, but it is something she has done for years. Every now and then, one of her puppies will do it too.
Coco as a Mother
Coco takes motherhood seriously. She keeps a close eye on her puppies, cleans them, plays with them, and corrects them when needed. She is very involved with her litters and has always been aware of what her puppies are doing.
If I am in another room with the door closed, Coco will often come scratch at the door until I open it. When she has puppies, she likes to have me nearby and will come find me to have me close.
Traits Her Puppies Often Inherit
One thing people often notice about Coco is her coat. It is soft, thick, and shiny. Whether her puppies have long coats or short coats, many of them inherit that same beautiful texture and shine.
The other thing I have consistently seen in Coco’s puppies is how affectionate they are with people. They enjoy being held, cuddled, kissed on, and spending time with their families. Every puppy has their own personality, but all of them are very people-oriented and enjoy being close.
Coco’s Legacy
Coco has given me some truly beautiful puppies over the years, not just in appearance, but in temperament. Her puppies have gone into homes where they are loved deeply, and that is what matters most to me.
